The Sénart Fontainebleau Institute of Technology


The Sénart Fontainebleau Institute of Technology provides a University education for over 1800 students who are currently studying on our two main campuses in Sénart and Fontainebleau.

We offer 6 courses from undergraduate to second year. At the end of the second year, students are awarded a Diploma of Technology Studies.

We also offer 7 third year specialization courses (Licences Professionnelles) that give access to a Bachelor Degree.

All our courses provide a blend of theoretical knowledge and practical skills development. This is achieved through the combination of formal lectures, tutorials, group projects, presentations, case studies and the use of regarded speakers from the private sector. We also propose co-op programs (Co-operative Education is a special form of education offering alternating study and work terms while earning your degree).

The Sénart Fontainebleau Institute of Technology is a part of the University of Paris 12.

School of Accounting and Management at Sénart & Fontainebleau


The two-year Accounting and Management Programme will develop the basic knowledge and skills necessary for a business career. The curriculum provides a broad study embracing marketing, accounting and finance and human resources management. The practical side of the programme is underlined by a three month placement at the end of the second year.

Students who have reached the appropriate honours standard may focus their studies by choosing a third year course to be awarded a Bachelor Degree in one of the following specializations :

  • International Trade and Exchanges
  • Human Resources
  • NGO Management
  • Economic Intelligence

The School of Accounting and Management at Fontainebleau also offers an international study certificate. Students who decide to enrol in this certificate programme will benefit from classes taught in English, placements in foreign countries worldwide and will have access to a third year course in a European college.


School of Retail Management at Sénart


The two-year Retail Management Programme provides a broad range of management subjects such as marketing, law, economics, finance, with retail specific subjects such as retail management.

Students are able to acquire excellent communication and entrepreneurial skills and familiarity with a range of analytical tools. The practical side of the programme is underlined by a three month placement at the end of the second year.

Students who have reached the appropriate honours standard may focus their studies by choosing a third year course to be awarded a Bachelor Degree in one of the following specializations:

  • International Trade and Exchanges
  • Retail & Services Management

School of Computer Science at Fontainebleau


The Diploma Programme in Computer Science is a two year programme which provides a broad study embracing different aspects of Computer Science. Students gain the fundamental skills of programming, systems modelling, software development, database implementation, networks and an understanding of hardware concepts.

The practical side of the programme is underlined by a three month placement at the end of the second year.

Students who have reached the appropriate honours standard may focus their studies by choosing a third year specialization


School of Electronic and Computer Systems at Sénart


The Diploma Programme in Electronic and Computer Systems is a two year programme of study. This programme has a strong systems perspective, which is intended to develop the student's knowledge and technical abilities in the areas of Computer and Industrial Electronic Systems.

The practical side of the programme is underlined by a three month placement at the end of the second year.

Students who have reached the appropriate honours standard may focus their studies by choosing a third year specialization in Industrial Systems Enginering to be awarded a Bachelor Degree.


School of Industrial Maintenance Technology at Sénart


The two-year Industrial Maintenance Technology Curriculum provides intense instruction in an array of courses designed to build knowledge and skills in hydraulics, pneumatics, automated systems, pumps and compressors, turbines, high voltage, thermic engineering and maintenance, as well as electronics and computers.The practical side of the programme is underlined by a three months placement at the end of the second year. Students who have reached the appropriate honours standard may focus their studies by choosing a third year specialization in Maintenance Engineering to be awarded a Bachelor Degree.


The International Office


The Sénart-Fontainebleau Institute of Technology welcomes international students. The International Office provides information and support for all international applicants and students.The office may also organise for students to be collected from Paris airport on arrival in France. In addition the office can place students with a host family or find an apartment.

The International Office also provides students with 2nd and 3rd year placements worldwide (America, Asia, Africa…).
